Low Maintenance Indoor Plants

Some plants, luckily for some are happy in almost any conditions. If you have a bad track record with live plants don't loose heart. Try some of the plants listed below they require little maintenance & are virtually impossible to kill.

Cast Iron Plant (Aspidistra)

Doesn't the name say it all? The Cast Iron Plant earned it's name by growing under the worst of conditions. Prefers low light making it ideal for use in indoor plant hire. Grown in a clump with sword like pointed leaves.

Dracaena Marginata

Most Dracaena's make excellent house or office plants in particular the Dracaena Marginata. Grows best in bright light & if allowed to dry out between watering's. If left to wilt the Marginata will spring back once it has been watered. Will tolerate low light.

Sansevieria (Mother in Laws Tongue)

Named after it's sharp pointed leaves representing a sharp tongue. Also like most mother in law's they never leave! They have a long lifespan & are easy care house & office plants. Very tolerant of low light making it an indoor plant hire favourite, & require very little water indoors. A dwarf variety Sansevieria Hahnii is also available

Pothos (Devils Ivy)

One of the easiest indoor plants to grow & almost impossible to kill. Pruning will keep the Pothos fuller at the base & each clipping can be used to create new plants. Pothos do like to dry out between watering's but leaves will wilt and eventually drop if left too long.

Zanzibar Gem (ZZ Plant)

A tropical indoor plant, the Zanzibar Gem's roots allow it to store water, making it extremely tolerant of drought like conditions. Performs best in bright indirect sunlight however will tolerate low light conditions

Remember, no plant can live forever without any water. However forgetting to water from time to time doesn't faze these hardy plants making them every forgetful gardeners dream.
